Charles A. Lingenfelter – President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Lingenfelter was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Distribution Group in November 2005. He has held executive positions within the company since1988, when he served as President of The Distribution Group, one of the companies that merged to form Industrial Distribution Group in 1997. In 2001, he was appointed President of the Charlotte business unit and became President of the Southern Region in 2002.Prior to 1988, Mr. Lingenfelter held various sales and marketing positions with Ingersoll-Rand Company, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for its Tools Group.Mr. Lingenfelter received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology.
James C. Melton – Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Melton was appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in March 2009. With over 25 years of varied financial experience, Mr. Melton has worked in public accounting and held senior financial positions for publicly-held and privately-owned companies in the apparel and food industries. Prior to joining Industrial Distribution Group, Mr. Melton served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Baker & Taylor, a large wholesale book distributor. Mr. Melton is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Edward C. Gerber – Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Gerber was appointed Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing in August of 2010, after serving as Executive Vice President of Sales since November of 2008. Mr. Gerber joined Industrial Distribution Group in August 2006 as President of the Northeast Region. During his 21 year career in industrial sales and marketing, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for several business units within Sandvik Tooling, and President of Petry & Morrow, a company acquired by Industrial Distribution Group in 1998. Mr. Gerber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Robert L. Parker – Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Parker was named Senior Vice President of Operations in January 2007. Prior to this appointment, he was Vice President of Platform Integration and was responsible for the successful integration of the company’s operating system to one platform. Mr. Parker also served as Vice President of Operations for the Northeast Region. Mr. Parker’s industrial supply career began in 1979 when he joined Industrial Supply of New England, a company acquired by Industrial Distribution Group in 1998.
Christopher B. Pratt – Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Pratt was appointed Vice President of Marketing in January 2009. In his 22 year career in distribution, he has held executive positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, operations and finance. He joined Industrial Distribution Group in 2000 as the General Manager of the company’s California Business Unit, and in 2001 was promoted to Vice President of the Southwest Region where he was responsible for a successful turn around of operations, sales and profitability. In 2006, he was promoted to Vice President of the Southeast Region. Mr. Pratt is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Management.
Carol L. Marks – Vice President, Business Management Systems
Ms. Marks was named Vice President, Business Management Systems in January 2009. Between January 2006 – 2009, she served as Director of Business Management Systems, and from 1997 to 2006, she held the position of Director, Purchasing and Business Management Systems for Industrial Distribution Group’s Southern Region. Ms. Marks’ experience includes 22 years in supply management and 15 years in progressive quality covering both the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Ms. Marks is an ISO 9000 lead auditor and Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.). She holds an undergraduate degree from Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
Laura S. Wright – Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Wright became Director of Human Resources in January 2006, and was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources in January 2009. She served as Director of Human Resources for IDG Southern Region from 1992 until her appointment as corporate Human Resources Director. Ms. Wright joined Dixie Industrial Supply (one of the companies that merged to form Industrial Distribution Group) in 1984. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources Management (SPRM) certificate, a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA in Human Resources from Gardner-Webb University.
Robert J. Abadessa – President, Compressors
Mr. Abadessa has served as President of the IDG Compressor Group since January 2006. Prior to this appointment, he was President of Taylor Air Center, one of the companies that merged to form Industrial Distribution Group in 1997. Mr. Abadessa worked as a sales engineer for Ingersoll Rand prior to joining the company. Mr. Abadessa is a graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
Richard P. Crifasi – President, Ensco Supply
Mr. Crifasi joined Industrial Distribution Group in October 1999 as President of Ensco Supply, a distributor of contractor supplies and equipment. Before coming to Ensco, Mr. Crifasi spent 17 years with Frank’s Supply of Albuquerque, New Mexico in various sales and leadership positions, culminating in his appointment to Vice President and General Manager. Mr. Crifasi served on the Board of Evergreen Marketing and was also a member of several industry distributor advisory councils, including Stanley-Proto, Black & Decker, Ridgid and Husqvarna. He received his undergraduate degree in Business from St. John’s University in New York City and a Masters in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico.
Ronald H. Mullet – President, Boring-Smith
Mr. Mullet was appointed President of Boring-Smith in November 2004. He began his career with Industrial Distribution Group in 1988, working in various sales and marketing positions for Boring-Smith, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 2001 to 2004. Boring-Smith services the manufactured housing, recreational vehicle, and marine industries. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Mullet worked in sales at Thurnander Corporation.
