Systems Analyst - Grade 4

Job Title: Systems Analyst – Grade 4

Concentrations:  Server Maintenance, Patching, Enterprise Application Support, Citrix and Terminal Services, Automated Desktop Deployment, Telecommunications Support, SCCM, Data Backup and Restoration

 

Location: Belmont, NC

 

Manage host systems, servers, and distributed facilities

- Assist with the management and maintenance of IDG Servers and related services

- Assist with the management and maintenance of Windows Terminal Services

- Monitor system and user processes

- Assist Backup Administrator to manage and maintain server backup and restore processes

- Assist the Citrix/Exchange Administrator with Exchange Maintenance and support

- Assist the Citrix/Exchange Administrator with Citrix Maintenance and support

- Maintain virus monitoring and prevention on all Desktops, Citrix, and SQL servers

- Assist with the maintenance and management of SCCM

- Create and maintain current and complete support documentation of IDG systems

- Mentor and provide transfer of knowledge to Desktop and System Analysts

- Provide support, maintenance, and uptime on IDG Major system

- Provide coverage on a major IDG system

 

Other Duties as Assigned

  • - Responsible to assist with Emergency/After Hours Support
  • - Training and development of 1st level support technicians on escalated issues
  • - High level of customer satisfaction

Education/Certification:

  • - Professional certifications Microsoft (MCSE or MCITP, MCP in Windows Server or Desktop)

 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • - Wide Area Network experience (TCP/IP,LAN) – PC Networks
  • - MCSE Windows 2000 or current platform
  • - Customer Support
  • - Good communication skills
  • - Works well under pressure
  • - Hardware and software support
  • - Working knowledge of Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008 – study and learn future releases
  • - Windows 7

Experience required:

  • - 5+ years of Server or Desktop experience.
