Mr. Lingenfelter was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Distribution Group in November 2005.  He has held executive positions within the company since1988, when he served as President of The Distribution Group, one of the companies that merged to form Industrial Distribution Group in 1997.  In 2001, he was appointed President of the Charlotte business unit and became President of the Southern Region in 2002. 

 

Prior to 1988, Mr. Lingenfelter held various sales and marketing positions with Ingersoll-Rand Company, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for its Tools Group.

 

Mr. Lingenfelter received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology.
