Tremendous opportunity exists for an experienced web developer to work with a rapidly growing industrial supplier.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and savvy web designer/programmer who can work across the organization providing web design, development, graphic design, and user interface expertise.

The position will require a self sufficient expert who can manage multiple simultaneous projects while delivering a consistent and cutting edge experience across all systems.

Responsibilities

• -    Research and develop Web solutions utilizing Javascript, JSF, PHP, AJAX, JQuery and existing technologies
• -    Conduct and collaborate on research of web-based user interface development best practices
• -    Serve as a knowledge resource for the latest trends and technologies for web- and standards-based user interface development
• -    Build out rich content as necessary
• -    Provide documentation and procedures for Web solutions
• -    Assist with end user training and support of applications as needed
• -    Participate on eCommerce teams to provide information and guidance, as well as obtain direction for web solutions
• -    Create / manage web logins as requested
• -    Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve eCommerce offering to our customers
• -    Troubleshoot end user problems

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, feel comfortable working to assess needs, collaborating with a team to determine solutions, and taking the initiative to directly implement those solutions. Other necessary skills and attributes include:

-        Solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies

-        Proven experience in graphic design, website design, development and maintenance

• -        CSS expert with the ability to code complex layouts for a variety of browsers (web standard compliant code)

-        Deep understanding of web design principles (web standards, semantic markup, SEO, unobtrusive Javascript, etc.)

-        Languages: HTML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery

-        Ability to successfully maintain multiple projects and tasks

-        Ability to create original designs from initial concepts and/or sketches to functional websites
